2010 Common Point Events
Common Boston Week 2010 will feature events around six diverse neighborhoods in Boston: Chinatown, East Boston, Fort Point Channel, Jamaica Plain, Dudley Square, and Uphams Corner. These areas, also known as “Common Points,” will feature a wide variety of active programming including open buildings, walking and biking tours, and more.
CB2010 will be focusing on “where we connect,” which can be interpreted in many ways and reflected in programs in these neighborhoods looking at topics including density, open spaces, boundaries, and bridges.
Some special events include a sidewalk tour of Logan Aiport in East Boston by multimedia artist Tim Devin,a theater tour featuring the winner of the SHIFTBoston competition, a youth-led tour by A-VOYCE of the Asian CDC in Chinatown, a boat tour between Fort Point Channel and East Boston, a construction site tour of Uphams Corner’s new Kroc Center, and ethnic neighborhood-based culinary food tours.
