Highland Park Garden Walk

Cooper Educational Center, 34 Linwood Street

Walk behind the scenes, with your guide Tom Plant, into the verdant backyard gardens and green spaces of Highland Park/Fort Hill. View flowers, a working farm, an orchard, community gardens and prize-winning gardens. Wear shoes appropriate for walking on irregular ground. Co-presented by Discover Roxbury. Non-Profit Revitalization of Dudley Square

Learn about the role of non-profit developers in reviving Dudley Square. Tour Nuestra Communidad’s historic Dartmouth Hotel, Palladio Hall and the Sargent Prince with Marcia Thornhill. Islamic Society of Boston Cultural Center Tour

The Roxbury Mosque serves as a religious center for Muslims and a cultural center for many in Roxbury and the Greater Boston Area. Pratt House: A Passivhaus-inspired Gunsmith’s Cottage

Toxic Tour: Environmental Justice in Roxbury

The tour will begin with a video and discussion of local environmental justice work followed by a visit to sites around Dudley Square that reflect environmental injustices as well as the great achievements of people organizing for change.
